Search help:

Do I need a secure form?

Solution

The short answer would be: yes, if you use the form on any commercial website or gather sensitive information from your visitors.

You should use a secure form if you want your visitors to feel secure before entering any information into your form.

This is especially important if you gather sensitive information about your visitors (credit card information for example). Secure forms make your website look more professional and trustworthy.

Note that many savvy online shoppers will not make any purchases unless the purchase form is a secure one!
